Cookie Policy

Last updated: 23 July 2026

This policy explains how Tonic uses cookies and similar technologies, why we use them, and the choices you have.

1. Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how Tonic App Ltd ("Tonic", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the tonicapp.co website, and the equivalent identifiers we use in the Tonic iOS app. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences over time. We also use similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels on the website, and mobile SDKs and device identifiers in the app, which serve comparable purposes.

3. Cookies we use on the website

On tonicapp.co we use a small number of cookies and similar technologies, grouped by purpose:

Strictly necessary
Required for the website to function — for example, maintaining your session, keeping the site secure, and balancing load. These cannot be switched off through our interface.
Analytics & performance
Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Firebase, which set cookies or use identifiers to measure page views and general usage patterns. This data is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.
Preferences
Remember choices you make — such as previously dismissed notices — so the site behaves the way you expect on your next visit.

4. Identifiers in the mobile app

The Tonic app does not use browser cookies, but it uses comparable technologies to operate. These include Firebase (for push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting) and a device identifier used to deliver notifications and keep the app reliable. You can control app tracking and notification permissions in your device settings. See our Privacy Policy for details on the data these technologies collect.

5. Third-party technologies

Some cookies and identifiers are set by third parties who provide services to us, such as Google (Analytics, Firebase). Their use of information is governed by their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review.

6. Managing cookies and your choices

You can manage cookies in several ways:

  • Browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies and warn you before they are set. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
  • Analytics opt-out — you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on.
  • Global Privacy Control — where supported, we honour recognised browser privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).
  • App permissions — manage notification and tracking permissions in your device settings.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our technologies or legal obligations change. When we do, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
